1. Introduction

ShipNotify (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides an inventory intelligence application for Shopify merchants. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the ShipNotify application and website (the “Service”).

2. Information We Collect

When you install and use ShipNotify, we collect the following data from your Shopify store:

  • Store Information: Your Shopify store name, domain, email address, and store owner details as provided by the Shopify API.
  • Product & Inventory Data: Product titles, SKUs, variant information, inventory levels, and inventory history to power alerts and forecasting.
  • Order Data: Order details including line items, quantities, and timestamps to calculate sales velocity and demand forecasts.
  • Email Address: Your email address for account communication, alert delivery, and support.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Inventory Monitoring: Track your stock levels in real-time and detect low-stock situations.
  • Alert Delivery: Send you notifications when products are running low or out of stock.
  • Demand Forecasting: Analyze sales patterns to project future demand and suggest reorder quantities.
  • Service Improvement: Improve our algorithms, features, and overall user experience.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate ShipNotify:

  • Shopify API: To access your store data (products, inventory, orders) with your authorization.
  • Stripe: For payment processing and subscription billing. Stripe handles all payment data directly; we do not store credit card information.
  • Resend: For transactional email delivery (alerts, notifications, account emails).
  • Vercel: For application hosting and serverless infrastructure.
  • Neon: For secure, encrypted database storage (PostgreSQL).

Each third-party service is bound by their own privacy policies and processes data only as necessary to provide their respective services.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your ShipNotify account is active and your Shopify app installation remains in place. Historical inventory and sales data is retained for up to 12 months to power forecasting features.

When you uninstall ShipNotify from your Shopify store, we will delete your store data within 30 days. You may also request immediate deletion of all your data by contacting us at support@shipnotify.app.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, secure API token storage, and regular security reviews. Access to data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

7. GDPR Compliance

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — specifically session cookies required for authentication within the Shopify admin embedded app experience. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
